Rihanna topped both the singles and charts this week.
Barbados-born R&B singer Rihanna scored a record-breaking double on Sunday. According to The Official Charts Company, the “Talk That Talk” album has become one of the fastest selling albums of the year, with over 160,000 copies sold in its first week. It is the second time this year she has been number one in both charts, and she becomes the first female artist to achieve the feat with different singles and albums in the same year. The 23-year-old star has successfully fought off competition new releases from Kelly Rowland and Olly Murs, who also released albums last week. “We Found Love” achieved a sixth week on top of the singles chart, ahead of Olly Murs’ new single “Dance With Me Tonight”.
