Lockheed Stratoliner can fly around the globe without refuelling.
The futuristic Stratoliner, designed by William Brown, is engineered to fly around the globe without refuelling. Brown based its design on the aerodynamic shape of the Bar Tailed Godwit, a bird that holds the world record for the longest flight without stopping to feed, flying for an astonishing 7,256 miles. With an aerodynamic, bird-like design, the Stratoliner achieves maximum efficiency by utilizing oversized wings that allow the jet to generate enough lift to fly at very high altitudes. Liner has Cryogenic Hydrogen Turbofan engine, which can operate in a low power mode.
