LG Display has announces 19 Inch flexible e-paper display, designed for an electronic newspaper.
LCD manufacturing giant LG and others have been pursuing such display technology for years. The new plastic display has a resolution of 1024×768 and is six inches across the diagonal, which is comparable to the Kindle and Nook. E-ink, plastic Displays (EPD) is expected to revolutionize the E-Book market with its advancements in functionality and design. The flexible design allows bending at a range of 40 degrees from the center of the screen. The world’s first mass-produced plastic EPD from LG Display will first be supplied to ODM companies in China, followed by completed products to be released in Europe at the beginning of next month.
