Berlin’s 62nd International Film Festival Starts

Berlinale 2012
Berlinale 2012

Berlinale festival opens with Marie Antoinette drama.

The Berlinale has the world’s largest film festival audience and attracts VIPs, stars and starlets for that red carpet walk. An eight-member jury led by British director Mike Leigh will choose this year’s winner of the Golden Bear and other awards. The jury at this year’s festival will be looking to discover another hidden gem of world cinema. On the lighter side, the hottest ticket in town is to “Iron Sky,” a story set in the near future when Nazis who escaped to the moon in 1945 launch a “meteor Blitzkrieg” on the Earth. The 62nd Berlin International Film Festival runs until Feb. 19.
