Apple and Google are working on wearable computers.
Small teams at Apple and Google have begun working on wearable gadgets that will communicate with iOS and Android devices, according to the New York Times. Apple has already created prototypes of its wearable device. One of the ideas for the wearable Apple device is a curved-glass iPod that can be worn around the wrist like a watch, and its user could communicate with it using intelligent software assistant Siri. The search giant Google has been tasking researchers at the secret Google X labs to develop devices that relay information to your Android powered smartphone. Google has reportedly been hiring a crew of engineers who specialize in wearable computers from engineering universities or places like Nokia Labs and Apple. The core concept of the plans is to make smartphone become the central hub for mobile communication. Some analysts said the companies still need to ensure consumers to recognise the daily value of these novelty product-like devices.
