The world’s largest expo for the international book and media industry opens to public in Frankfurt on Wednesday, October 12.
Every October, the German city of Frankfurt hosts the world’s biggest book fair. The 63rd fair is due to be open from Wednesday to Sunday and has attracted some 7,500 exhibitors from more than 110 countries and regions. Iceland, as guest of honour, will shine a spotlight on its literature, past and present. More than half of the events at the fair in the western German city will address digitisation and also focuses on how the digital technology would evolve and impact on the publishing industry and the future trend of its business model. The 2011 Frankfurt Book Fair will run Oct. 12 to 16.
