The Portuguese player breaks record of points and wins Golden Boot 2011 award.
This is the second time Cristiano Ronaldo receive the European Golden Shoe Award, which is formally called Golden Boot, for best European striker of the season 2010-2011. Ronaldo win the Pichichi Trophy,presented to the top scorer in La Liga, with 40 strikes, nine more than runner-up Leo Messi. Cristiano is the first to earn 80 points in the run for the trophy and is the eighth player to win it twice. He also received the Golden Shoe award in 2008 as he played as a Manchester United player, scoring 31 goals in the Premier League. The other footballers who have won the award twice are Eusebio, Muller, Georgescu, Fernando Gomes, Jardel, Henry and Forlan.
