Facebook has launched “Listen with Friends” a new feature that lets users listen to music with a friend.
Facebook’s new feature allows users to click a single button to sync up and listen to a song that a friend is currently enjoying. Up to 50 users can listen and chat at the same time while one users acts as DJ. To listen in with a friend, both parties will need the same music service – either Spotify or Rdio at this time. It works in such a way look for the music note in the chat sidebar to see which of your friends are listening to music. To listen with a friend, hover over their name, and click the “Listen With” button. When a new song plays, you’ll come along for the ride, discovering new music while your friend DJs for you. You’ll also have the option to chat about what you’re listening to. The service will roll out to all Facebook users over the next few weeks.
