Swedish royal court announces the birth of new heir.
Prince Daniel, the 34-year-old Victoria’s husband, announced the birth of the couple’s first child during a news conference. The baby is 51cm, weighed 3.28 kg and is to be second-in-line to the throne after Victoria. “The crown princess feels brilliant, she is so happy and everything has gone very well. The little daughter and the crown princess are very well,” said Daniel. Victoria and Daniel Westling met in 2002 and were engaged in February 2009. Westling was the princess’ fitness trainer. The 34-year-old princess and her 38-year-old husband married in June 2010.
