Acer Unveils its new Ultrabook Aspire S5 at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The Ultrabook has a 13.3inch display (34cm) and is only 15mm thick at its thickest point. The weight of the device will be 1.35Kg (slightly less than three pounds). The device can wake in just 1.5 seconds using its “Instant On” technology, which ensures battery life lasts several weeks while in sleep mode too. The ultrabook features an Intel Core processor, SSD storage, Dolby Home Theater v4 technology, and a PowerSmart battery pack. The machine also comes with Acer’s Always Connect which will allow you to access AcerCloud for managing data stored on the S5, even if the device is in the sleep or hibernate mode. There is also a “MagicFlip” port panel in the device that includes a USB 3.0 port, an HDMI port and a Thunderbolt port. The Acer S5 Ultrabook will roll out in Q2, however exact dates and prices have yet to be stated.
